The 2010 Maxxis British motocross championship started in fine style at Little Silver in Devon today. With extreme weather warnings in place, round one of the championship looked doomed but the sun shone brightly as the day turned out near perfect, and with the new 3 race format everyone was in for a great days racing.

Stage 1: Craig completed the first competitive stage at a steady pace and finished 36th in an uneventful days riding.
Stage 2: It rains a lot and the stage is on muddy gravel. Craig clearly forgets where he is and pretends he is in his beloved Welsh forests. Despite 40 degree temperatures Craig places 18th on todays stage and is now 26th overall.

PARKALGAR HONDA racers Miguel Praia and Eugene Laverty completed a positive two-day test at their home circuit at Portimao in Portugal with both riders showing considerable pace ahead of the final round of the World Supersport Championship at the circuit on October 25th.

With additional help for the weekend by A1 Moto Services and Came the team were looking to finish the year very strongly. Once again, Troy got close to that elusive front row grid place, but a lack of qualifying tyre in Superpole ruined his plans and so he will start from the second row. Troy used his allocation of two qualifying tyres in Superpoles 1 and 2 to make sure of getting into Superpole 3 and had to use normal race rubber in the final session instead. But Troy normally makes good starts and is not worried about getting off the line quickly - as he has proved before.

21 year old East Yorkshireman James Westmoreland finished the 18 lap race at Croft in 4th place to add 13 points to his championship tally. The team were joined for the weekend by A1 Moto Services as title sponsors at the North Yorkshire circuit and were keen to be back on the top step of the podium. Today’s practice and qualifying sessions at the Nurburgring took place in the wet, with the afternoon qualifying blighted by heavy and even hailstones!
Despite the appalling conditions Troy rode superbly and ended the day with the third fastest time. And it so easily could’ve been second! On his final lap of the day, Troy suffered a rear end slide at the final chicane and lost some time. Were it not for that, Troy would’ve taken second spot for sure.

We arrived at the track early Saturday morning to one of the best prepared track I have ever seen. The guys up there had done a sweet job of preparing and building a flowing and challenging clay based track with some big jumps and lots of options. Unfortunately it was forecast to rain the next day. Not surprisingly being in Scotland.
It rained off and on that night but for the first few laps of qualifying the track wasn't to bad and I put a few laps down early and managed to qualify 9th.

Troy and team mate Ruben Xaus recorded their best first day of qualifying this season and ended the day with smiles on their faces. Troy found the S 1000 RR easier to ride and was able to use the flowing nature of the 5.403 kilometre track to good advantage in this morning’s free practice and afternoon qualifying session.

The new spec engine from BMW in Imola was a significant improvement straightaway and Troy was looking forward to two full days working with it and making good progress. But the new engine blew a head gasket yesterday and Troy had to revert to the older engine which was not so easy to ride.

Round 5 at Snetterton finally showed the true potential of JW Racing and 20 year old East Yorkshire rider James Westmoreland. Sylvain Guintoli was the victim of a freak two-bike crash during the sighting lap for the first British Superbike Championship (BSB) race at Donington Park today. The Worx Crescent Suzuki rider sustained compound fractures to his right fibula and tibia.
At the time of writing it has been confirmed that Guintoli’s injuries are confined to his right leg. Guintoli is still receiving treatment to his fractures but an early prognosis suggests he will be out of racing for the next ten weeks.

Ryans first race was in Holland at a track called Eersel on the 4/4/09. It was a club event and Ryan came 2nd. Not a bad start, next was a national at Valkenswaard on the 5/4/09, a gp track.He qualified a dissapointing 23rd, but he came off in qualification and lost his rythm.Race 1 he nearly holeshoted but rode fantastic to claim 2nd.Race 2 he nearly holeshoted again but however another rider got his handlebars caught in Ryans and they both came off.Ryan hurt his ankle and came in 38th.Overall .....

The third round of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship was held at the sandy, fast hillside Low Gelt Farm circuit in Brampton, Cumbria where Red Bull KTM UK riders Stephen Sword, Jake Nicholls, Graeme Irwin and Alex Snow had a very successful day on their immaculately prepped KTM machines. On the Early May Bank holiday weekend, Kawasaki Motors UK's official motocross team, LPE Kawasaki, made its way up T'North to the Scottish border for the third round of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship. The first round of the Red Bull Pro Nationals took place at Landrake near Plymouth on Sunday the 19th April. With the weather glorious and the event heavily advertised in the surrounding area the organisers were rewarded with a healthy crowd.

Qualifying was split into two groups with Jordan in group one and Nez in group two. Jordan was in fine form posting 2nd fastest behind Carl Nunn but after crashing heavily he was fortunate to finish in 10th.

The first round of the European championship was held at the sandy Hawkstone park track only a few hours from home over the weekend.
Being so close to home and a chance to race against the best in Europe was an opportunity not to be missed.
The program was the same as the Grand Prix's last year with a 20min qualifying race on the Saturday.
I got a good start in my qualifier race and took my time and made sure I qualified, finishing in 7th......

The 2009 season opened for the Utag Yamaha.com team at the long established sand Kent circuit. With the weather holding off for the early part of the morning it was only deep ruts that the riders had to contend with for qualification.
Zach made a good start to his MX assault with pole position. Zach started the session in second place and then 15 minutes into the session he put in a couple of quick laps to secure pole.

After Mikey P's second place result at the Taupo International the weekend before I was all geared up and looking forward to to winning some races at round 2 of the NZ MX Championship held in the sunny Hawks Bay over the weekend.
The track was quite different to the first round at Rotorua and I sort of felt I had a point to prove - show them I didn't win at Rotorua just because it was my home track.

Last weekend Mikey P competed in the Taupo International MX. The Taupo meeting is one of the biggest one off races in NZ and after the previous weekends win I was going there confident I could get my Honda out front again.
